Dear customers,
we are glad to inform you on upgrade of MS Exchange to the newest version MS Exchange 2010. The migration will start on Monday, 4th April 2011 from 6 p.m..
Major improvements of the newest version of MS Exchange involve:
- improvement of SW platform - improved technical architecture with improved security,
- enhanced availability: e.g. the new Outlook Web App also cooperates with other web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome etc.
Changes should have any negative impact on you. Such significant changes, in the system architecture may cause minor problems especially concerning configuration setting of applications. Would you have any inconvenience with your service, do not hesitate to contact our technical support.
During the migration period our technical support will be available for you every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., free of charge.
The migration process will consist of two stages:
- Change of the access to the mailboxes - it is related to access via MS Outlook, Outlook Web Access, ActiveSync and IMAP/POP3 protocols (e.g. the e-mail client Thunderbird). The change will pass on Monday 4th April 2011, 6:00 p.m. Detailed information here
On 4th April 2011 authentication certificate will be changed. Operation system MS Windows 7 contains the certificate of the certification authority StartCom. Please verify, that you have installed the patch
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931125 in the older version of MS Windows.
If you will have problems with any application listed bellow, please click on the relevant application name.
Web interface Outlook Web Access/App
From April 4, 2011 login OWA screen located on
http://mbx.eoutlook.cz will change to yellow color (see screen bellow). After login:
- not migrated accounts will be redirect to 2007.eoutlook.cz address
- already migrated accounts will be available in "yellow" interface

The older version (blue screen) will be available at the address 2007.eoutlook.cz. After login here:
- not migrated accounts will be still available in "blue" interface
- already migrated accounts will display login screen at the address http://mbx.eoutlook.cz
Outlook 2003
On April 4, 2011 you will have to change the "Proxy server" setting in your Outlook. To do this, please perform next steps:
- the Outlook must not running
- click on Start -> Control Panel -> Mail -> Show Profiles
- choose your profile, click on Properties -> E-mail accounts
- choose your account, click on Change.. -> More Settings -> Connection
- change mbx.eoutlook.cz to 2007.eoutlook.cz in field "Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange"
- the filed "Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate" must not be checked.

After migration of an account (about which we will inform you), it is necessary to put back values from 2007.eoutlook.cz to mbx.eoutlook.cz in Outlook configuration (see picture above).
Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010
Setting of these versions of Outlook does not depend on the location of the account.
The "Exchange server" and "Proxy server" should be set on mbx.eoutlook.cz. After the acount transfer, the Outlook will change its configuration automatically.
Similar as in MS Outlook 2003, there must be unchecked "Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate" field.

ActiveSync
For proper function of your device, you must have installed the StartCom Certifitactio Authority Certificate. Newer devices (e.g. iPhone) usually have this certificate included and next steps are not needed.
For device with older version of Windows Mobile, please download StartCom certificate from http://www.startssl.com/certs/ca.cer and save it into device. Then click on file name. After wizard starts, choose "Next" and "Install". Installation is done. Restart of device is not needed.

If your device doesn't support the CER files format, please try the same procedure with one of the following files:

IMAP/POP3
Please make sure that you have installed following update
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931125 on your Windows and also check is StartCom certificate is imported (look at the previous paragraph). If one of these prerequisites is not fulfilled, a message about untrusted certificate might display.
Other configuration changes should be not necessary.
- Migration of particular mailboxes - we will inform you about concrete date and time of mailboxes migration. You will also receive an e-mail about completion of migration process. Detailed information here
During the migration process, administration application (https://admin.eoutlook.eu) will be unavailable.
During the migration process delay of receiving/sending e-mails might occur on BlackBerry devices. When migration will be complete, the message: "Activation was finished" will appear on BlackBerry display. .
Migration does't affect access from BlackBerry device.
